What a wonderful Summer...

I can't believe how fast this summer has gone by... It is already the end of August and even though it's still HOT outside, fall is just around the corner! We have had such a wonderful summer as a family this year. Last year, Brady was so tiny and we tried to stay out of the heat! This year... we were outside playing, swimming, running through the sprinklers, playing in the sandbox, going to the zoo for the first time, having cookouts with friends and just having a great time together!

I'm sad to see summer come to an end, but I have to admit I'm not sad to see the warm weather end! I'm ready for cool, fall days and nights! My tummy is continuing to grown and I'm amazingly already "feeling" pregnant. I get run down very easily, probably due to chasing around a very busy 1 year old!

You can always go home again...

Brandon and I decided last week, last minute that we'd go home to visit our parents and family and make it to the biggest celebration of the year... THE DECATUR CELEBRATION! Brandon hadn't been for a couple of years, and I always enjoy the food and seeing old friends! So we packed up the SUV and drove home on Friday! It was also a very important weekend in the Suzewitz household... my little sister, Katie, turned 16!!! I was so excited that I was going to be able to be there to help her celebrate!
So we got into town on Friday and made it to the Celebration and out for a couple beers for Brandon and a couple bottles of water for me... The smells at the Celebration were so NAUSEATING! It wasn't too appealing this year, didn't make me crave Garcia's pizza or even my favorite, Strawberry Crepes! All I wanted to do was get far, far away from the smells... I think Brandon was having sympathy pains because the food aromas were making him sick at his stomach too!
Saturday morning we spent with Brandon's family! Brady played in the backyard and had so much fun! We had lunch and got a chance to catch up! The rest of the day was pretty low key... My Mom, Dad, Katie, Brady and I made another attempt at the Celebration. It was a nice day and the smells didn't get to me as much. So I got to enjoy a delicious Strawberry Crepe!
Sunday gave us a chance to celebrate Katie's Sweet Sixteen as a family! Brandon and I got balloons and helped Mom cook! We didn't leave Decatur until about 4 pm or so, making it a late night getting home! But it was all worth it! I love knowing that we can always go home... we have two great families that are always anxious to see us!!

Brady didn't want to wear the Sweet 16 Birthday Crown!

I think Robby was having more fun then Brady was with his Mega Blocks!
