Trick or Treat!

Last night we bundled up and headed to Boo @ the Zoo! It was so much fun, Brady really enjoyed watching all of the other kids running around in their costumes. He is a lion this year... so cute! Especially when we can get him to make the "roooarrrr" sound to go along w/ his costume! We're really looking forward to taking him around on Halloween! He's going to have so much fun... This last week or two Brady has really been adding to his vocabulary! He mimics almost everything we say or at least tries to. He acknowledges you when you ask him to do something... It's amazing how one day they're these little tiny babies and you're wondering when they'll roll over or sit up for the first time and the next thing you know... Brady's saying "hi, bye", gives hugs, helps pick up toys, says "gross, yucky, shoes, ball, dog, yes, no, book, punkin" and the list could go on and on... what he isn't saying - he's trying to say!!
Debbie was in town this past weekend and got the chance to go to Boo @ the Zoo too! Which was a nice finale to our weekend! I know she really enjoyed spending time with Brady and getting a chance to see him all dressed up for Halloween. Brady got to stay home on Monday and Tuesday with Debbie and play! They had a great long weekend! It was definitely nice for me to have an extra set of hands around these past few days. As my belly grows... its getting harder to lift Brady and run around after him!

Speaking of my belly growing... I had my check up yesterday! I'm measuring at 25 weeks (right on target) and everything else looks great! Our next appointment is towards the end of November and after that we start going to 2 week appointments. It's hard to believe I'm almost in my 3rd trimester already! We get to pick our scheduled C-Section date next appointment too! The nursery is coming together bit by bit. We have the dresser, crib, some of the bedding, I have 2 or 3 swaddling blankets, some onesies, some really cute outfits, hair barrettes, headbands, socks, etc... Still lots more to do but I feel like we're on the right track!

Roca Berry Farms Pumpkin Patch!!

Brandon and I took Brady to Roca Berry Pumpkin Patch on Sunday with our good friends Bill and Stacie and their little girl, Sophia. We always have so much fun together and LOVE to watch Brady and Sophia together. They're just about the same age and are just so dang cute together!!
We had great weather, about 70 - 75 degrees - warm and sunny with a cool breeze! Brady and Sophia got to pet the billy goats, watch a dancing mummy band, play in "Candyland", roll pumpkins down the hill (ok maybe that was just Brady), put their faces through many adorable cut outs making great photo ops for Mom & Dad, ride in the pumpkin cart with our pumpkins and eat pumpkin cookies (Thanks Bill)! The kids had so much fun and so did we!!

A great appointment... a healthy baby!

Brandon and I had a wonderful doctor's appointment today! We had our mid-way check up and ultrasound, measuring all of her parts and checking all of her organs... everything was there and everything looked great! She has 2 arms and 2 legs and 4 chambers in her heart.... music to our ears! Chelsea, our ultrasound tech, just kept saying "that looks normal... yep! that looks great! etc..." And Brandon and I kept smiling and saying, "that's what we want to hear!"

I uploaded my two favorite ultrasound pictures. The quality isn't the best because I actually took pictures of the ultrasound print outs so that I could upload and save them to my blog.

Her profile reminds me of Brady's profile from our ultrasound pictures with him. A cute little button nose and pouty lips! She weighs in at about 14 ounces and her heart was around 146 bpm. She measured at about 21 weeks... but we'll still keep our originally due date of February 6th/7th. Their growth can fluctuate a bit so most often doctor's do not change the due date this far into the pregnancy.

Our doctor's office even had a new 3D machine allowing us to take a more realistic look at her! Keep in mind that she's only 21-22 weeks old and weighs only 14 oz so she still hasn't filled out quite yet! But to me she's perfect!!!! (The reflection makes it kind of hard to see her pretty little face!)
